Kongunadu Makkal National Party’s General Secretary E.R. Easwaran has requested the political leaders to not make provocative speeches that could trigger caste conflicts and riots.

KMNK is all set to conduct a conference in Coimbatore on September 27. ‘Protecting culture’ is the theme of the meet. Mr. K.R. Subramaniam, Advisor to the Prime Minister of Malaysia, will be attending the KNMK conference on Sunday.

While talking to the media about the conference, Easwaran appealed to political leaders in Tamil Nadu, including Thirumavalavan, to not speak provocatively and incite caste riots. He also requested the Tamil Nadu government to not hesitate to order a CBI inquiry into the suicidal death of DSP Vishnupriya.

DMK and MDMK have claimed that they had organised their party conferences in Palladam for the welfare of the people of that area. But Easwaran pointed out that neither parties spoke on the issue of powerloom workers, which was the burning issue in the region. He also urged MDMK leader Vaiko to find out the real reason why so many of his leaders were switching to other parties.

Easwaran further added that he was going to meet the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister for discussing about the development of Kongu region.
