Woman killed, 18 injured in van accident

A woman textile worker was killed and 18 other women were injured when a van they were travelling in fell on its side at Kasanaickenpatti.
The van with women workers was heading to a factory in Tirupur. The driver lost control of the vehicle and it swerved sideways. In the impact, Karupammal was killed on the spot.
The 18 injured women were taken to hospitals in Pollachi for treatment.
