CII organizes debut golf tournament

Known to promote, encourage and motivate the spirit of entrepreneurship in Coimbatore, the Coimbatore chapter of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) organized a gold tournament for CEOs of this city. “This is the first time CII is taking this initiative. We are aiming to engage the CEOs through a game of golf.” Dr K V Srinivasan, Chairman, CII Coimbatore Zone said.

The venue for the CII- Zimson Cup was Coimbatore Golf Club. About 113 participants registered for this tournament that was played in Stableford format. There were different categories like Nett 0-15, 16-22, 23-30W and R and Gross W and R. There will be two awards given in each category; one for the winner and one for the runner up. A special award will be given away to 75 year old V Chinnaswamy in the Super Senior Trophy catigery. He managed to score 39 points.

It was nice to see the family members of the players who were also present at the venue to cheer their loved ones. This morning the weather was cooperative and the tournament was a perfect way for the CEOs to chill, unwind and distress.

A gala prize distribution ceremony and cocktails and dinner is organized this evening at The Residency. Also at the event key sponsor Zimson Watches will have on display a collection of special and rare watches that have been sourced all the way from Geeva.
