Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) has sought action against BJP Tamil Nadu president Thamilisai Soundarajan for
reportedly making derogatory remarks against party president Thol Thirumavalvan.

Party workers, led by Susi Kalairasan, submitted a memorandum to City Police Commissioner A Amalraj and sought action against Tamilisai for her remarks yesterday on the `Mersal’ film controversy.

Tamilisai is said to have remarked that Thirumavalvan usurped land, includingchis party headquarters. This allegation, VCK workers said, was baseless and the BJP leader should apologise.

In Salem, about 25 VCK workers were arrested when they attempted to burn Tamilisai in effigy. Police intervened and arrested the workers.
