Activists, top cops visit tribal areas in Coimbatore

Members of Coimbatore district committee of the anti-corruption movement visited tribal villages in Thudiyalur and Karamadai police station limits along with senior police officers and distributed blankets and caps among tribals.

Coimbatore district unit secretary NK Velu and members R Velligiri, Auto Murugan, Senthil, Raviprakash and Chinnasamy, accompanied by Periyanaickenpalayam Deputy Superintendent of Police Gunasekaran and SI Kannan visited the hamlets of Chembakarai, Thoomanur, Arakkadavu, Moonukuttai and Colonypudur in Karamadai and Thudiyalur police station limits.

The tribals were also advised not to entertain strangers who approach them under the pretext of helping them and should inform local police immediately if there are intruders.
