Motorcyclist snatches gold chain at Peelamedu.

A gold chain was snatched from an elderly woman last evening at Peelamedu here by a person who came on a motorcycle.
According to police, Kalavathi D (62) of Cheran Maa Nagar on VK Road here was standing near Karu Mariamman Kovil in Cheran Maa Nagar around 6.45 pm when the man came on a motorcycle and snatched the 4-sovereign gold chain worth Rs 40,000 and fled the scene. Peelamedu police registered a case and are probing the matter.
