It was organised in association with the Technology Information Forecasting and Assessment Council here on Thursday.

According to sources, more than 50 stakeholders participated in the workshop ‘Technologies to Reduce Emission in Textile Industries’. It highlighted the use of sustainable technologies for energy conservation in spinning, weaving and textile chemical industries.

A hands-on exercise on technology prioritisation for various sectors of the value chain was conducted by the TIFAC team.

The participants were given the ‘technology scoring sheet’ by TIFAC to map the potential areas and technologies with the economical and sustainable criteria. A session on exploring new ideas and sustainable technologies for energy conservation was also held.
