Tamil superstar Rajinikanth is likely to meet his fans between December 26 and 31. This will be the actor’s second meeting this year after his meeting May when he also gave hints of entering politics.

The All India Rajinikanth Fans and Welfare association has sought police permission and protection during the meeting, which will be held at Raghavendra Kalyana Mandapam at Kodambakkam in Chennai.

“We are pleased to hold a photo session for Rajini fans with Rajinikanth from all the districts of Tamil Nadu between December 26 and 31,” actor’s fan association said in a letter to City Police Commissioner.

At the meeting in May, Rajinikanth said, “When war comes they will come to the rescue of their motherland. I have a profession, work, duty and so do you. Go to your places, do your duty, take care of your vocation. Let us face the war when it comes.”

Asserting that he was a “true Tamilian”, the actor said if people asked him to get out of Tamil Nadu, he would only go to Himalayas and not any other state. “I am a “Pachai” (true) Tamilian. Tamil Nadu is my home,” he added.

“I lived in Karnataka only for 23 years. But I have been here for the last 44 years. I am living with you and with your support. Though I am a Marati and came from Karnataka as a Kannadiga, Tamils have given me this life. It was you who gave me the name, fame, money,” Rajinikanth said.

The actor had also complained that the “system is rotten” despite the presence of leaders including DMK Working President M.K. Stalin and PMK leader Anbumani Ramadoss.

“Political democracy has gone. A change is required to set things right. For that to happen there has to be a change in people’s mindset,” Rajinikanth said.

In 1996, the actor openly backed the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam-Tamil Maanila Congress combine, that swept the polls.
