Teen dies after falling off footboard of bus

COIMBATORE: A 19-year-old girl, who was travelling on the footboard was killed on the spot when she fell down from the bus on Monday.
According to police, Keerthana, a second year student of a private college on Avanashi Road, boarded the bus at Thudiyalur, and was standing on the footboard as it was over crowded.
The bus driver, in order to avoid a motorcyclist, tried to take the side way and under the impact of a sudden jerk Keerthana fell down and came under the wheels.
She was killed on the spot.A case has been registered and the body sent to Government Hospital for postmortem.
