Personal assistant of former Bharathiar University VC dead

Decomposed body of V. Sathasivam, personal office assistant of former Bharathiar University Vice-Chancellor James Pitchai was found in Bhavani river in Mettupalayam, today.
The 34-year old Sathasivam did not return home, after he left it on October 3 and a missing complaint was lodged in a city police station. Some passersby noticed the body stuck between rocks and immediately informed police, who recovered it and sent it to Mettupalayam Government Hospital.
The body was identified using the driving license found in the purse of the deceased. Further investigations are on, police said.
