19-year old girl student commits suicide

A 19-year old girl student committed suicide by consuming poison near her hostel room in the city.
Vinisha, a resident of Kothagiri in the Nilgiris district, was found lying unconscious near a private hostel in Peelamedu in the city late last night, police said today.
Some hostel mates immediately informed the management, who rushed and admitted her to the Government Hospital.
However, Vinisha, doing her second year B.Com died this morning,without responding to treatment, police said.
The reason for the suicide was yet to be ascertained.
