TPDK members stage ‘eating’ protest

Members belonging to the Thanthai Periyar Dravida Kazhagam on Friday staged an eating protest against Sadagopa Ramanuja Jeeyar who has been on a fast since Thursday demanding an apology from Vairamuthu for his remarks on Andal.
Led by its General Secretary K. Ramakrishnan, the members ate pastries, jelebis, laddus, murukkus, mysore pauk, chips, peanut candies, fruits and cool drinks throughout their protest. They also distributed the eatables to the general public who crossed the Gandhipuram library, the protest venue.
