Kochi: Bodies of four members of a family from Kerala, washed away in flash floods, were recovered in South California in the US.
Sandeep, 42, wife Soumya, 38, son Sidhanth and daughter Sachi were suspectedly washed away in flash floods in the Eel river in California on April 5.

They were on a sightseeing trip for about a week. They were travelling from Portland in Oregon to San Jose in California when their communication with their relatives in Valencia got snapped.
Reports of the recovery of their bodies were received by Soumya’s parents here. The bodies are mutilated and chances of bringing their bodies home were remote.
Union External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj’s intervention has been sought to bring their bodies home.
