Woman, 2 YO daughter dead, six injured in car collision at Mettupalayam

Coimbatore: A woman and her two year old daughter were killed and six persons injured today, when two cars collided head on Sathyamangalam Main Road in Mettupalayam in the district.
The 36-year old Chandrapriya, wife of Venkatesh of Vellamadai, and her daughter Ashitra died on the spot in the collision, as the inmates of both the vehicles were returning home after visiting temples, from opposite direction, police said.
The injured have been admitted to the Mettupalayam Government hospital and further investigations on, they said.
