Lakes overflow and flood the surrounding areas in Coimbatore

With the incessant rains during the evenings and nights in Coimbatore, five of the lakes in Coimbatore filled up to the brim .To avoid breakage, the PWD officials opened the valve of Selva Chinthamami lake without any prior warning which caused flooding in the nearby residences.
