A large number of medical students on Thursday took out an awareness rally to mark the World No Tobacco Day. The rally, organised by Ashwini Hospitals, was taken out near the Race Course Road.
The participants, who held placards highlighting the evils of tobacco and its products, also distributed pamphlets describing the diseases due consumption of tobacco and the evils of smoking. A signature campaign to completely give up tobacco and its products was also conducted. Hundreds of students and members of the public participated in the signature campaign.
