Flood water enters residences in Coimbatore

Following the heavy rains of South West monsoon , Noyyal river and its tributary Raja Vaaikaal have been in spate for the past few days. Now, the flood water has surrounded more than 50 houses in Sarojini street of Selvapuram .With poisonous creatures like snakes entering their houses through the flood waters, and themselves unable to leave their houses, the residents are in a state of emergency. They demand that the corporation takes immediate action to drain the flood waters.
