Koel feeds again with prosthetic beak. A refreshing memory from four years ago

Four years ago, a koel badly injured was rescued by the public and brought over to the V O C Zoological Park in Coimbatore. With its beak severely damaged, the koel was not able to feed and had to be hand fed. An aluminium plate was bent in the shape of a beak to be fitted on to it and there it was with a beautiful and shining prosthetic beak . It was a delightful sight indeed to watch the bird feeding again with its prosthetic beak .
