Maakaaliamman gets decked up in salt and pepper

On the occasion of the first Friday of the Tamil month Aadi, the principal deity of the famous Maakaaliamman temple in Coimbatore was adorned with salt and pepper. It is said that 1000 kgs of salt and pepper was used in the decoration.
