Dead fish found floating in Vaalankulam lake

The water bodies in Coimbatore which were filled to the brim from the recent rains and teeming with fishes spread cheer among the public. Meanwhile , the Vaalankulam lake in Ukkadam area was today seen with thousands of fish floating dead. Contamination from sewage from the city and the waste from the dyeing units is said to be the cause.
