After coming under severe criticism for taking up the Kiki challenge, Bigg Boss ex-contestant Niveditha Gowda has now been forced to delete the video from her Instagram account.
Niveditha Gowda had joined a bandwagon of people across the world who took up the dangerous Kiki Challenge. Niveditha Gowda had posted a video of her Kiki Challenge and had even stated that she was not promoting the challenge.
However, she was forced to withdraw her video after the police issued a warning against taking up the Kiki Challenge and posting it on social media. Niveditha Gowda told The Times of India that she was not aware of the ban on Kiki Challenge. “The entire issue is blown out the proportion by the media.
I have now deleted the video. I am not the one who advises people to take up the challenge and kill themselves.” Despite the strict warning by the police against taking up Kiki Challenge, there have been many reports of celebrities trying out the challenge. Sandalwood actor Pranitha Subhash too took up the challenge and posted a video on her Twitter handle.
Over the weeks, Kiki Challenge has gone viral where people dance to rapper Drake’s “In My Feelings” songs by jumping out of the moving car and getting back to it. This is not only dangerous to the one who is attempting at it but also to those on the road too.
Hence, the police are keeping a tab on those attempting the Kiki Challenge. In fact, the challenge was inspired after American Comedian Shiggy posted a video dancing to the song. Many sustained injuries while trying out the Kiki Challenge.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwar has urged people not to try the dangerous challene. He has requested the parents to sensitise their children about such dangers and keep a close watch on them.
