Woman found lying dead in suspicious manner

A 35-year old woman was found lying dead in a bushy area in Madampatti, on the city outskirts, today.
Based on information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the body. It was found that the end of sari worn by the woman was entangled around the neck, leading to suspicion that she was throttled to death, police said.
Body of the woman, identified as Kalpana alias Chitra, wife of one John Peter of
the same area, was sent for post-mortem, and further investigations were on.
