Sanitary workers wash themselves in sewage-A sad state of affairs

With the stagnation of drainage in Singanallur, the residents tired of waiting for the corporation to take action appointed some sanitary workers to clean the drainage. The workers who cleaned it without any safety measures or equipment, had to clean their hands and faces in the sewage water itself after their work was done.Though they are involved in cleaning activities for others, they do not seem to be bothered about their own cleanliness. A very sad state of affairs indeed.
