New Delhi: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf president and former cricketer Imran Khan will take oath as the 22nd prime minister of Pakistan on Saturday. The oath taking ceremony will be held at President House in Islamabad, shortly.

Khan’s PTI party emerged as the largest party in the elections held to National Assembly in July. But he did not have the required majority to form the government. On Friday, 176 National Assembly members voted in favour him, reports The Indian Express. As a result, Khan is all set to take oath as the prime minister of Pakistan.

Navjot Singh Sidhu, Indian cricketer-turned-politician is in Pakistan – on the invitation – to attend Khan’s swearing-in-ceremony.
