Woman files complaint after Ola driver plays porn video in cab

Bengaluru: A woman has accused a cab driver from Ola of playing a porn video on his mobile and masturbating to it while she was in the cab. The incident, which adds to the growing list of incidents involving misbehaviour by cab drives, occurred on Thursday morning when the woman was travelling from Yelahanka New Town to JP Nagar.
According to police, the 23-year-old woman booked the cab to JP Nagar on Thursday morning. When the cab approached Queen’s Circle, she noticed that the driver was staring at her.
Next, the driver held the mobile phone in his left hand, so that it is visible to her, and played a porn video, proceeding to masturbate to it, reported Times of India. Shocked, the woman ordered the driver to halt the vehicle but he ignored the request and dropped the woman at her destination.
Based on a complaint lodged by the woman, the Cubbon Park police registered a case of sexual harassment on Sunday against the driver, identified as Devasamoliya. Reacting to the news, an Ola spokesperson said the cab driver had been withdrawn from their platform.
