Chargesheet filed against five Maoists

Q branch of police today filed a charge sheet before the Principal District Court against five Maoists, arrested in May on the city outskirts. The charge sheet running to 4,700 pages, has 626 documents and 186 witnesses. The copies of the charge sheet are likely to be given to the Maoists on November 2, when they are scheduled to be produced before the Principal District Judge, Pongiappan. The Maoists, Roopesh and his wife, Shyna, Kannan, Eswaran and Anoop were arrested from a bakery in Karumathampatti on May 5.

Since all of them have cases , Roopesh alone having 20 cases, under Kerala jurisdiction, they are being produced in Courts there at regular intervals.
