Badhaai Ho box office collection Day 1: Ayushmann Khurrana film is a winner

After giving cinephiles a spectacular film like Andhadhun, Ayushmann Khurrana is back to the big screen but this time with a family entertainer. He plays an elder son who gets to know that his 50 something mom (Neena Gupta) is pregnant, and thus follow the laugh riot of dealing with the awkward news.

Directed by Amit Sharma, Badhaai Ho has been making a lot of buzz ever since the release of its trailer. The film has got a thumbs up from critics and fans. Badhaai Ho has earned Rs 7.29 crore on its opening day, thus making it Ayushmann’s biggest opener till date.

With a three-day holiday, the film is expected to do great business in the long weekend.

Badhaai Ho is a coming-of-age drama which chronicles the story of a family dealing with an accidental pregnancy.

At the box office, Badhaai Ho will face competition from Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra-starrer Namaste England.
