Two die of swine flu in Coimbatore GH

Coimbatore : Two persons, one a woman, died of H1N1 (swine flu) in the Government hospital here, taking the toll to 23 in the last two months.

Kandhasamy (65) was suffering from fever and undergoing treatment at a private hospital near Tirupur. He was later admitted to the Government Hospital here, where he was diagnosed with the symptoms of swine flu, hospital sources said.

However, without responding to treatment, Kandhasamy died this morning.

Vijayalakshmi of Sulur in the outskirts, who had been under treatment for H1N1 for the last two days, succumbed to her illness late last night.

The hospital has 23 persons with swine flu, four with dengue and 63 having different types of viral fever.
