Uri trailer out: Vicky Kaushal’s intense performance will give you goosebumps

New Delhi: Directed by debutante Aditya Dhar, ‘Uri’ is a promising military drama and based on the 2016 Indian Army’s surgical strikes on Pakistan as a retaliation for the Uri attack. The film is a tribute to the Indian Armed force and the 2.24 minute-long trailer shows how the makers have depicted the famous surgical strike on the screen with much brilliance.

The trailer, which was unveiled today, features Vicky Kaushal, Yami Gautam and Paresh Rawal. It opens with a backgrounder that says, “On 18 September 2016, 19 unarmed Indian soldiers were martyred at Uri base came, Kashmir.” Vicky, who plays an Army officer Vihaan Singh Shergill, pledge to destroy the enemies across the border and bring back all his soldiers safely. Paresh Rawal, who essays the role of National Security Advisor, is seen advising a surgical strike to his seniors.

Yami, in the role of an intelligence officer, is impressive. She is seen interrogating a terrorist about the Uri attack.

Overall, the trailer of ‘Uri’ is a visual treat for the movie buffs and Vicky, with his versatile and intense performance, steals all the limelight. His impactful screen presence will give goosebumps to the viewers.

The film is produced by Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP and is slated to hit theatres on January 11, 2019.
