IOC ties up with Savera Group to open food stores on highway outlets

Coimbatore : Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has joined hands with Chennai-based Savera Group for setting up food joints in its highway retail outlets across India.

The first such food stores ‘Amaravathi Highway Famility Restaurant’ with 120 seats was inaugurated at Chengapalli outlet, some 60 km from here in Tirupur district on Friday.

The effort was part of the corporation’s vision to upgrade its retail outlets on highways with signature stamp and also extending customer convenience, IOC Executive Director R Sitjarthan (TN and Puducherry) said.

Of the 2,250 IOC outlets in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, 130 are located along the highways and with leisure travel on the rise, the company foresaw the need for upgrading these outlets, he told reporters

This was just a beginning and the remaining outlets would also be added to this network soon.

The outlet had petrol, diesel, and auto LPG fueling facilities, besides truck parking, driver-centric, restrooms, and other facilities.
