Parents of students studying in Amritha Vidyalayam allege fleecing

The parents handed over a petition to the District Collector stating that the school was not issuing the books to the students because the parents refused to compelled by the school to purchase socks, uniform, sports wear , shoes, school bag and lunch bag from the school. Despite the District Education Officer clearly stating that schools should sell only books and not everything else, the school has been forcing the parents to buy everything from the school by charging extra, the parents rued.
