Coimbatore : Instead of sympathy or pity, the murder of the teenager girl in Pollachi arouses anger, Makkal Neethi Maiam founder, Kamala Hassan Sunday.
   
Reacting to the murder, close on the heels of the sexual assault and murder, Kamal Hassan told reporters at the City Airport that instead of increasing the protection to the women, it was found to be reducing and continuous incidents aroused anger.
    
The government should take stringent measures to prevent such attacks on women and allow the police department to function freely, he said.
   
Despite admitting that there existed poor in the State, the government failed to provide even basic amenities like drinking water to the common man
   
To a question on the pre poll surveys, Kamal Hassan quipped that when each and every political party owned a media of television channel, the survey will favour them. However, his party is finding a place in every genuine survey, he said.
     
He reiterated that the his party will ask its candidates or MPs to step down,. if it received any complaints and found guilty that they were not not functioning satisfcatorily,.
    
The actor-turned politician was here to campaign for the party candidates contesting from Coimbatore and Pollachi constituencies
