Sanitary workers clean drains with hands in the Smart City!

The sight of a sanitary worker collecting sewage waste with bare hands has shocked people in this Smart City. Despite all the facilities available workers continue to clean waste out of sewers and drains using hands this posing serious health hazards. None of them are urged to use safety measures before getting into drains and cleaning them. Manimaran used his hands to remove plastic, mud and other waste clogged in the drain in Gandhipuram.
