Governor Dr Tamilisai’s speech at college creates a furore

Governor of Telangana, Dr Tamilisai Sowndarrajan took part in the Founders Day celebration of PPG College in Saravanampatti. While addressing the gathering, she said, “Today’s younger generation is misguided that joining a political party qualifies one to secure Doctorate, but the dignitaries on the dais have secured the Doctorate out of hard work. Students should work with perseverance and understand the responsibilities”, she said. This speech of hers has wrecked up a controversy because Tamil Nadu CM Edapadi Palanisamy is to be conferred with an honorary Doctoral degree tomorrow.
