Poor peoples’ demands remain neglected

The Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board has built 1392 houses near the Ukkadam sewage treatment plant in Coimbatore. The government has spent several lakhs for these houses but there is no proper maintenance. People suffer due to poor sanitation especially during rainy season. People feel that they are neglected by the government.
