Officer dies as car driver dozes off on highway

Manoharan, Assistant Town Planning Officer of the East Zone, Coimbatore Corporation, died in an accident on the national highway near Karumathampatty Police Station, Coimbatore. He was returning from Chennai in a hired car. It is reported that the driver, Yesudas, dozed off and lost control due to which the car collided against a container truck. The severely injured driver was admitted in a private hospital. Karumathampatty police have filed a case on this.
