Water released from Aliyar Dam; farmers happy

Water was released from Aliyar Dam which comes under the Aliyar Parambikulam project near Pollachi. Minister S.P.Velumani, Deputy Speaker of Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly Pollachi Jayaraman, Collector K.Rajamani and many farmers happily welcomed it by sprinkling flowers. Around 22,332 hectare of lands will be benefitted with 2250 million cubic feet of water for 70 days.
