No protests for 15 days

The Commissioner of Police has stated that no protests, public gatherings, processions or any kind of demonstrations are allowed for 15 days starting from Wednesday.

In a release, A.Amalraj, the Commissioner of Police has stated that any political or communal outfit that carries out such processions without the knowledge of the city police would be strictly dealt with between 2.12.2015 and 16.02.2105.

However, those who are willing to stage such demonstrations should get a prior permission from the CoP in person five days ahead of the protest date.

A higher official from the department said that the move is security purposes.
