The celebration showcased a remarkable fusion of tradition and technology, as students seamlessly integrated cutting-edge technologies like Artificial Intelligence into their presentations, adding a modern twist to the traditional festivities. This captivating event united a diverse community of students, faculty, and residents at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham.

Gokulashtami, a cherished tradition since its establishment in 1997, was conceived by Swami Abhayamritananda Puri, the university’s Pro-Chancellor. This event serves as a powerful platform to nurture cultural integration and unity among students, complementing their pursuit of advanced knowledge. Students, through diverse skills such as creativity, engineering, and brainstorming, gain profound insights into India’s rich cultural heritage.

This year’s celebration featured the participation of 4000 students organized into twelve groups. Their collective effort not only celebrated tradition but also emphasized promoting environmental sustainability within Amrita University’s lush green campuses and enhancing gender inclusivity. The procession, a fascinating highlight of the festivities, showcased the students’ dedication and artistic talents.

Beyond the procession, the festival showcased traditional art forms, martial arts, and literary activities. Students from various departments passionately participated in storytelling, dance, music, skits, quizzes, elocution, painting, and Rangoli competitions, all intricately woven around the theme of Sri Krishna.
