The Cheran Express developed a snag in its engine, leaving its passengers stranded at a tiny village near Erode early in the morning today.
The train began its journey in Chennai and was supposed to reach Coimbatore at around 6 AM. But, it came to a halt at 4 AM. Technicians from Erode station were brought in to repair the engine.
It took the team nearly two hours to get the engine running again. The train finally reached Coimbatore at 8 AM.
