BAI reaches out to flood-affected

Members of the Builders Association of India (BAI), Coimbatore Chapter, have contributed relief material worth Rs. 25 lakh. The BAI Coimbatore Chapter that has 825 members have sent their contributions in the form of medicines, milk powder, sanitary napkins and candles among other essentials to Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Coimbatore, and the same was distributed to victims of flood hit regions.

On hearing that a few students from the flood hit regions, scheduled to appear for their board exams this academic year have lost their text books and study materiel, BAI Coimbatore Chapter has offered to provide such students with text books.

“Ever since we made this news official yesterday, we have received requests for text books from 10 students of class X and XII. We have made arrangements for the text books. Our volunteers in Chennai and other flood hit regions will ensure that the text books reach the door steps of the students,” K. A. Chandrasekar, President BAI, Coimbatore Chapter, said. The cost incurred will be shared by the members of the BAI Coimbatore Chapter.
