Acclaimed lyricist and poet Vairamuthu said that writers and lyricists were bound by certain social responsibilities and should set some boundaries for themselves.
Replying to a question on Simbu’s controversial song, which has drawn lot of flak, he said that he hasn’t heard it yet. “Without hearing, it should not be fair to comment on the song,” Vairamuthu, said, on the sidelines of a private function.
He however added that lyricists were bound by some social responsibilities. He also noted that songs with social messages have become very infrequent these days.
