One killed, one injured in bike-lorry mishap

A 56-year-old man was killed in a bike-lorry mishap in the wee hours of Saturday.
According to sources, the deceased, S. Shanmugasundaram, a resident of Kovaipudur, was a land broker. On the day of the incident, Shanmugasundaram was riding pillion with his friend, P. Durai (48), who was also a land broker. They were hit from behind by a truck near Siruvani Main Road. Shanmugasundaram was killed, and Durai escaped with minor injuries.
A case has been registered with the Perur Sub Division police and investigations are on.
