Members of the Shabia Hayathul Islam Sunnat Jammat carried out a grand procession to celebrate the 1,490th birthday of Mohammed Nabi, near Kurichi corner here on Thursday.

More than 1,000 members, along with students, participated in the procession that began from Kurichi corner Itteri Mosque. The procession went through Aathupalam and reached the mosque as part of the Milad un-Nabi festival celebrations.

Students from various schools and colleges participated and performed various art forms.
