The Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) has invited garment and textile exporters to take part in the India Trend Fair (ITF), which is going to be held at Tokyo, Japan, from October 27 to 29.

In a statement, Senior Director of AEPC, D.G. Reddy, said, “ITF is an exclusive business matching event which gives an opportunity for the exporters to showcase their products and supply capabilities of value-added products, with special emphasis on designs based on Japanese fashion trends and requirements. Visiting buyers include manufacturers, wholesalers, trading companies, importers, specialist shops, department stores, and volume and online retailers.

“Indian textile and garment sector is contributing less than one percent of the total import of Japan. There is enormous potential for increasing India’s textiles and garment exports to Japan. India and Japan have signed the CEPA (Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement) and it gives duty-free imports of garments from India to Japan.”

The AEPC has allocated limited booths for registered exporters. For further details, please contact the Tirupur office at 0421-2232634/2232631, and visit the website www.aepcindia.com.
