The owner of a children’s home and a woman cook there were arrested today on charges of forcing a minor girl to watch their sexual activities for the last few months.

The 14-year old girl, studying in Standard VI, when questioned by her teacher on why she was becoming dull in her studies, narrated the incident to her, who in turn lodged a complaint with an All Woman Police Station in Thudiyalur.

Jagan and cook Chitra, who were taken in custody last night confessed to the crime, based on which they were arrested this morning, police said.

The girl’s mother, after the death of her husband, had married another person and left the city, leaving the daughter in the home, they said.

The 11 inmates of the home – seven girls and four boys – were sent to two different shelter homes in the city, police said.
