Gram Sabha meetings on Aug. 15

District Collector Archana Patnaik has called upon all people residing in villages in the district to take part in the special Gram Sabha meetings to be conducted at all the village panchayats on August 15.
In a statement, she said: “The Gram Sabha meetings will have the agenda of selecting development works under 14 Financial Commission Subsidy, to discuss on drinking water supply, establish new bore wells, prevention measures for dengue, and other mosquito borne diseases.”
She also added: “The meetings will also include topics of selecting beneficiaries under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) and to discuss on various development schemes and welfare schemes being implemented in the villages.”
The Gram Sabha meeting will begin at 11 a.m. on August 15.
