180 seats lie vacant in agri colleges

A total 180 seats are lying vacant after the second phase counselling for the under graduate courses in Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) and affiliated colleges.

While 35 seats remain vacant in colleges under TNAU, except B.Sc Agriculture, B.Sc Horticulture and Bsc Forestry, 145 seats are vacant in private colleges, official sources said today.

A total of 2,906 candidate were called in for the second phase counselling and 804 seats were filled. Around 838 candidates attended the interview.

All the UG degree program for the year 2016-17 would begin on August 1 as planned and orientation for first year students would be held on the same day, that would be addressed by Vice-Chancellor, K. Ramasamy.
