Two cars, parked outside a house near Podanur, were found burning in the early hours of today.

The cars, parked outside the house in Pillayarpuram, and belonging to one Krishnan, caught fire at around 3.30 AM. Even as the fire was about to spread to another car parked at some distance, the neighbours noticed the blaze and put off the fire, police said.

Based on a complaint by Krishnan that it could be the handiwork of his rivals in the area, police are investigating.
