Suspecting Maoist presence, police today conducted search operations after villagers alerted them about a tree house in Nundala village.
On information, a team comprising six forest department officials and four police personnel rushed to the area on the Ooty-Manjur Road and brought down the bamboo house, set up at an height of 20 feet on a 30-foot tall tree.
However, search yielded nothing inside the house, police said.
Police suspect it could be a handiwork of anti-social elements. Search operations are continuing in the area.
